Frequently Asked Questions

What are your current COVID-19 restrictions?

Please visit our website to review our current COVID policies.  If you have any additional questions, please let us know.

Do you have a space available for a non-profit/community group to meet?

Supporting our community is a core principle for the Dickson County Family YMCA.  We do have meeting spaces available for non-profit/community groups.  Please contact kim@dcfy.org to check availability and for reserving the space.  Note – we clean the room after each group meets and we regularly fog our meeting spaces.

Do you have a space available to rent for private parties?

Due to COVID-19, at this time we are not able to rent our space for any private parties (birthday, graduation, baby shower, etc.)  We do plan to re-open our facility to private parties as soon as COVID-19 restrictions are removed.  Please contact kim@dcfy.org to check availability for reserving the space once those restrictions are removed.

How can I donate/volunteer for the Warming Station?

The Dickson County Family YMCA is an Official Warming Station for Dickson County. During the winter, we can house the homeless overnight to get them out of harm's way. We provide food, shelter and safety during extreme temperature drops.   If you want to volunteer or donate supplies, food or clothing, please contact us at 615-326-7070.

Do you have guest pass access?

Yes, a non-member can visit the Dickson County Family YMCA two times as part of our Guest Pass access.  As a guest, you have full access to the facility and all group fitness classes.  Please allow some extra time when you first arrive to get you signed up in our Guest Pass program.

Do you have a drop-in rate?

Yes, our drop-in rate is $7/day.  Please allow some extra time when you first arrive to get you signed up as a guest visitor.

Do you have childcare available?

We’ve got you covered with two options for your kids.  While you’re working out, your kids are always supervised and are always having fun challenging their brains and their bodies.

  • Y-Adventure for ages 4 to 12 years old

Maximum time for childcare is two hours, and childcare is always open during our group fitness classes.  For more information, please visit our website.

Is a membership at the Dickson YMCA valid for this club only, or can I visit a different YMCA facility if I’m traveling?

Your Dickson YMCA membership allows you to also visit other YMCAs across the country.  However, with COVID-19, some YMCAs may have restrictions on visitor access.  So please contact the YMCA you want to visit to determine whether any restrictions are currently in place.

Do you have a swimming pool?

We do not have a pool at the Dickson County Family YMCA at this time.  We do have plans for a pool in our Phase 3 expansion, but we re only in Phase 2 at this time.

Do you have any job openings?

We are always looking for good people for our Wellness, Front Desk or Childcare areas.  We post positions on our Facebook and Instagram pages.  However, feel free to call us at 615-326-7070, or stop by and fill out an application, or ask our staff about our current openings.

Do I need to come in to cancel my membership?

If I haven’t used the Dickson County Family YMCA this month, does that mean my membership is cancelled?
