OPEN DOORS

Helping the Community

At the YMCA, we want our whole community to be a part of what we're doing, regardless of low-income situations.  Because of this, we have the Open Doors Program.  Essentially, the Open Doors Program allows us to adjust your membership rates based on your annual income, rather than using our set rates.

Scholarship Process

  1. Come to the YMCA and fill out the Open Doors Scholarship Application, or fill it out ahead of time and bring the completed form in to the Y.

  2. Our Scholarship director will review your application and contact you to set up a meeting.  She will let you know which financial forms you need to bring; for example, a W-2 or other proof of income.

  3. Come to the YMCA at the time of your meeting. After you're finished, the Scholarship Director will let you know what kind of rates we can offer you.

  4. The front desk will set you up as a member of the YMCA.

  5. Enjoy your time as part of the YMCA family!
